Hereisthis.com has some really great short films documenting some interesting people and places. I found a link to it on TWBE when they did a write up on the “Art Mover” video, which is amazing I think. Real telling of the impact of art, and someone who realizes its importance. Upon checking out the site… the other vids are GRRRREAt tooo. Check em.

No actually dont do that. The Cohen brothers have changed up the pace a little bit with their upcoming film Burn After Reading. No Country For Old Men was a lil dreary and convoluted, but a solid flick nonetheless. This interestingly themed comedy looks to be another one of their gems.

Pitt, Clooney, and Malkovich… nice calls all around.

So, this one, written and directed by Johnathan Levine looks like i could be one of the most enjoyable “films” in the Tribeca Film Festival. It got some serious looks at Sundance (won the audience award and got nominated for the grand jury prize). Story revolves around a 1994 hip-hop-head who… get this… trades pot for therapy sessions. I’m not really sure how a deal like that goes when tax returns comes around, but its clearly not kosher. Nickelodeon product Josh Peck stars, supported by SIR Ben Kingsley, and Mary-Kate Olsen (who apparently have a make out scene… can you say GOOOOO?). Excited to catch this one at the festival. Not excited to see that make out…. by any means.

P.S. Why couldn’t they get both the Olsens to make out? Is that too much to ask?

Filmmaker Ry Russo Young has come out with Marion, one of the most interesting and twisted shorts in forever. Young’s take on the classic shower scene from Hitchcock’s Psycho is a modern over-information masterpiece. The short features three different actresses, portraying the character in three different ways, with one insane ending. A little lengthy…. but well worth the time. Check out all of her work, cause its all really engaging, while still managing to be rather disturbing.
